  2. Take 8 pieces Rahu fish cut into thin long pieces(like vindi)

  7. Take 2 teaspoon red Chilli powder
  8. Take 1 teaspoon Coriander powder

  10. Get 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  11. Prepare 1/4 th cup Mustard oil
  12. Get 1/2 teaspoon Methi/Fenugreek seeds
  13. Take to taste Salt

  1. Take 8 pieces of cleaned fish pieces, cut in finger like pieces and marinate with salt, 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon of red chilli powder and salt.
  2. Keep aside for 15 minutes.
  3. Heat 3 tablespoon of mustard oil and shallow fry the fish pieces to golden brown.
  4. Clean and trim the vindi. I used little long size vindi.
  5. Heat 1 tablespoon of mustard oil and stir fry the vindi in high heat for about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Transfer to a plate and in the same pan temper 1/2 reason of fenugreek seeds in 2 tablespoon of oil.
  7. Add in 1 chopped onion, when onion changes colour, add in 3 cloves of crushed garlic.
  8. When onion and garlic becomes golden brown, add in dry spices like chilli powder, turmeric powder,coriander powder and cumin powder. Also add in salt.
  9. Add in little water and stir well. Cook the masala for 3-4 minutes.
  10. Next add in the fried vindi, mix lightly to coat the masala. Cover and cook in low heat until the vindi become soft.
  11. Next add in some cherry tomatoes and cook for further 3-4 minutes.
  12. Also add in the fried fish pieces, mix lightly.
  13. Pour 2 cups of hot water, cook for about 5 more minutes in medium heat. The curry is ready now.
  14. Remove from heat and serve with hot steam rice.
